Getting to Akagera Safari Camp.
The Camp is about 112.3 kilometers (approximately two and a half to three hours’ drive) from Kigali City and is accessed off the main highway from Kayonza to Nyagatare. If you are driving from Kayonza, take a left turn at Kabarondo (approximately 30 kilometers from the town of Kayonza). For travelers that wish to use flights/helicopter flights to the Safari Camp, it would interest you to know that it has a helipad on-site and a typical flight takes only 25 minutes.
