Akagera National Park entrance fees are charged per day, upon payment of the entry fees, visitors are permitted to explore and enjoy the wildlife park and they include;
- Rwandan or East African Community (EAC) citizens=$16; children 6-12 years=$11.
- EAC residents=$50 per person; children 6-12 pay $30.
- International visitors=$100 per person; children 6-12 years pay $50.

- Bus/Overland (foreign registered) =$40.
- Bus/Over lander (foreign registered=$100.
Guides-park and community freelance.
- Guide for self-drive game viewing=$25 per day/half day.
- Guide for self-drive game viewing tour=$40 per guide entire day.Note: there are guides for hire from Akagera National Park reception and can join you on your self-drive tour.
Safari Activities – Akagera Entrance Fees.
- Night drives-2-3 hours/driver, guide, driver=$40.
- Sport fishing per person per day with your own equipment=$25 and $15 for children between 6 and 12 years.
- Boat tours in the morning or day-cost per person maximum 11 pax=$35 and $20 for children between 6 and 12 years.
- Launch/boat cruise in the sunset tour-price per person maximum 11 people=$180.
- Camping-cost per person at night=$25 and for children between 6 and 12 years is $15.
- Behind the scenes tours cost per person minimum 4 pax pay $25 and for children between 6 and 12 years pay $15.
- For a group of 8 pax and above, the cost is $180.
- Game drives day half day (5hours) maximum 5 hours/vehicle, guide and driver-maximum 7 pax pay $180.
- Whole day/ driver, vehicle and guide maximum 7 pax=$280.
- Walk the Line 7 kilometers along with the fence-minimum 3 about 2 hours=$30 and for children between 6 and 12 years=$20.
- Community cultural experience in different activities provided-half day and minimum 3 pax pay $30 and children between 6 and 12 years to pay $20.
Other Rates include:
- Tent hire per 6 man-3 by 3 canvas tents costs $20.
- Recovery fees breakdown or assistance from the park=$70.
- Fines for breaking any park set rules and regulations=$150.
- Recovery fees for coaster breakdown or assistance from the park=$150.
- Commercial filming or photography per day-get in touch with the park for all filming=$250.
Annual Pass.
- Rwandan or EAC Citizens for single pass costs 95000 RWF.
- Rwandan or EAC Citizens for family pass charge is 150000 RWF.
- Rwandan or EAC Residents for family pass=600 RWF.
- Rwandan or EAC Residents for couples pass=400 RWF.
- Rwandan or EAC Residents for single pass=250 RWF.
- Rwandan or EAC Citizens Couples pass=115000 RWF.
Entry requirements in to Rwanda by International Visitor.

Visitors from countries such as Mauritius, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Germany, Sweden, Hong Kong, and the Democratic Republic of Congo don’t need a visa however; all visitors are required to have a valid passport.
