Facts about plain zebra in Akagera: Zebra stripes are thought to help camouflage the animal by breaking up the body outline making it indistinguishable to predators when they are bunched in groups. It is also thought to regulate heat. Zebras have a one –male harem system with other males socializing in bachelor groups
