Kageyo peninsular area is found in Akagera National Park in the Eastern Province of Rwanda about 2-3 hours’ drive from Kigali capital city. From Lake Hago, Kageyo peninsular is about 34 kilometers’ drive away and it connects to main route. It also serves as a resettlement village in the eastern part of Rwanda. After the Rwanda genocide in 1959, several people sought refuge to nearby countries including Tanzania.
